Change2009 was a crucial year for the climate change agenda which, it was hoped, would culminate in a new international climate deal being signed in Copenhagen in December 2009. The Copenhagen Communiqué is a short, punchy statement that draws on some of the key recent thinking on climate policy that has emerged from the international business community, and sets out the business case for a strong and effective UN climate framework.

LeadershipThe Copenhagen Communiqué is an initiative of The Prince of Wales's Corporate Leaders' Group on Climate Change (CLG) which is run by The University of Cambridge Programme for Sustainability Leadership.

It builds on the success of The Bali Communiqué and The Poznan Communiqué which were published in advance of previous UN climate summits.
